Gratitude for the Grub

Thanks to another friend who made a delicious meal. Here is a card to say thanks! It was meant to be based on the Sketch this card sketch, but I had to centralise things because it didn't look right...

Boy's Birthdays

I wanted to make some more cards for Boy's birthdays so used the Di Hickman sketch, then went on to use the scraps to make a couple more cards, so it was a success in the end.

On a roll

I got stuck in with some new Stampin Up stamps and made 4 of these cards, I love the little quote "Thankyou for being who your are", and think it would be a lovely thing to say on a card. I have given one away already!

Is it really worth it?

Cor spent most of the evening doing this card, when they take this long it kinda takes the enjoyment out of it... I know you should enjoy it. Originally the film strip I MADE was in black, but then didnt suit the pictures (BIG THANKS TO RAINBOWGIRL) I wanted to go inside, mucked up my first brown one, then after the third attempt got it right!... Here is my card for the CPS challenge, I still think something is missing???

"I'm half crazy all for the love of you..."

What a great day I have had today after an annoying tantruming one with my son yesterday! And a perfect way to end my day is to be able to submit my first photo for the her space my space blog. I have been wanting to use this image on a card, but just havent got round to it yet, but here it is in it's raw form as a photo. My son April last year with a daisy between his toes, and me trying to be artistic!

A Recipe for Success

I am pleased with the results of this card, i have discovered recently, how much of a difference it can make just to take time to juggle around with the layout. I was going to try and combine this with another challenge, but I think the card would have then been too structured. The recipe was from good old DCM; 5 Circles, 3 Squares and 1 Flower. Oooh forgot to say this is going to one of the lovely ladies who cooked a delicious meal for us tonight!

Oh So Sweet

Oh so sweet is what is written on the title on the card, but becuase it is white it doesnt show up, plus the matting and layering has got lime green metallic paper, again the photo doesnt do justice... This card was based on the paper Squares Challenge which was a sketch plus "Get out your chipboard...your squares, rectangles, flowers, circles, even letters. Paint it, cover it with ink, cover it with paper...then stack it up! Combine your chipboard onto the front of a card. Assemble some squares and rectangles to create a base, and then stack some shapes on top, spell out a word, create a fun flower. Create some depth on your cards!", I was limited but chipboard flowers, but thankfully I had some as part of my DCM prize!

U R A Star

My first Caardvark challenge, theme: stars Ooo just my kinda theme! Wanted to try and experiment with a 'henna' looking design, have I pulled it off? Not sure about the text, but once its there you cant get rid of it! I would have put the word star on the left hand side if I were to do it again!....

Bright Blooms

Made this card for the Sketch this card challenge. I was limited to craft materials, as I was at my inlaws house and took a few supplies with me. This card makes me smile as it is so colourful.

Something For The Weekend

A few cards I have made over the Easter weekend, in part form the challenge cards
