Sketch with Scallops

I had to make my own scalloped edges using circles (idea seen somewhere...?) as I am not the proud owner of a scallop punch :( But there is nothing wrong with a bit of improvisation! :)

using the Di HIckman sketch for this card, very handy as I need it for a belated birthday card...

If Only...

Using this sweet photo from Nancy at Vintage Papers and inspired with the CPS sketch. I came up with this card, the words say "if only, I didn't cut my fringe... Zelda thought" I used the fibres to create a 'fringe' look!

Button Bear

A mixture of challenges, to use the pic of the bear from Rein and incorporating polka dots from Wednesday Stamper. I have named the picture of the bear william, thought it suited him! I took a photograph of the card on a bear, where if I have made a card that day I display it on the bear just nice to have a bit of your work on show, and nice to change it everyday :)

Something Old, something new, at the moment without GLUE!

I was soo excited to realise that the commission I had just made today fits in soo nicely with the DCM challenge, I decided to take a photo even before I stuck it all down!

The specifications of the card were: To include Raj, fiance, Happy Birthday, S3 Audi car, sony psp, and a ipod. Colours to include Black, Blue and turqouise. I included the word FIANCE on the CAR REGISTRATION PLATE!
So how does it all fit in
SOMETHING OLD: Being the swirly stamps used on the background of the card
SOMETHING NEW: Being the DCWV Far East papers, purchased a couple of weeks ago
SOMETHING BORROWED: Pictures from google!!!!
SOMETHING BLUE: or Turqoiuse?! Being the Happy Birthday letters

Never too early?

Well late for the challenge, but early for Christmas. Was trying to think of an alternative way to use the topic of: 'celestial'. I knew I wanted to use the origami style star, but wasn't sure how... this is my third attempt at the star, think the gold works the best!

Chalk & Cheese

Some say I have a style, I am unsure myself...? Through blogging I have learnt to be more diverse, and I am loving it, sometimes never knowing how exactly creations will turn out!? I bought this new stamp and wanted to try it out with chalks, I stamped the image in brown on cream card and tried to use the chalks to colour it in, hmm not happy with results. Then I came across the website (thanks to one of my blogging friends), a CHALK challenge, time to reclaim those chalks. So This time I thought if I use the chalks to colour in the background FIRST, using the colours roughly where the image will be placed, then stamp on top... and sure enough it worked! I cute the image, inked the edge and chalked the background card and stamped using the same technique.

"It doesn't matter if you're black or white" (Michael Jackson)

Card inspired by Di Hickman sketch, I twisted it and turned it a bit!... Could'nt help but think I wanted to add more, but after leaving it over night, I think any more and it would spoil it!

DCWV embossed wedding paper, I cant remember who the heart stamp is by? and I think the little bride and groom is whispers stamp. Dots using Tulip fabric paint.

Talking of black and white here is another card that I made, inpired by the word 'engaged' was going to use a toilet sign of the word, but then font this and simply added a red heart to join the couple and !!!LOOK OUT FOR THE LITTLE BLING ON THE LADIES HAND!!!! After I had made 3 of these, I got a request to make 3 engagement cards all for young people! What are the chances of that?!

Baby Bump

My pregnancy cards sold really well at the party... I have been meaning to use this off cut for a while the shape reminded me of a pregnant women! So great opportunity to use it for the Paper Squares card concept.

Burgandy & Blue

Couldnt think of a more exciting title sorry! Using up some more scraps from my scrap swap, I used the skecth from Sketch this card to come up with this one...

Making Mosaic

Inspired by the challenge set on Ink Stains forum, I decide to use some left over pieces of card that I had brayered, and inked all over it with images using black ink, I was really pleased with the results, and thought this card would help towards my masculine collection of cards.

I attempted using the same idea but in different colours, for a more subtle look...
