The Makings of a Mackintosh

For the DCM mid week challenge "...to make a card inspired by a work of art" (read more about it on their blog, I'm not very good at explaining the technical part!) You are supposed to use the original, but I couldnt find anything to copy... so taking inspiration and help from some rubber stamps.

And so, in the style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, this is my card... I pain stackingly cut out the black outline using a craft knife on black card, and coloured it in with pens.

2 for the price of one!

Some how I convinced myself that I managed 3 challenges in one, but don't know where I got that idea from?! I think it was the fact that I was making a card for my friend that seemed to make it even more of a better offer. And it's about time I had another slide show...

My first Wednesday Stamper challenge! To decorate an envelope, so glad of this challenge I do have a thing for bland envelopes, although I have been slipping of late! And using the sketch from Ink Stains Challenge (taken from 2 Peas in a bucket)

Very Vintage

Here is a combined challenge, using the theme of vintage from the Daring Card Makers with the sketch from Di Hickman.... I have come up with this...

. . . . . . . . S.e.e.i.n.g. S.p.o.t.s. . . . . . . .

I really enjoyed doing this commissioned card, so much fun thinking of a theme for a 5 year old, wanted to get away from the cliche of pinks and came up with this... I must admit I also enjoyed colouring in all the ladybirds too! heehee

Got some fab wooden stencil today to do some numbers, wish I had them earlier for the 3 year old card! Oh well... hand cut the leaf, and used Quickutz for the lettering, oh and stamped the ladybird with a shildrens stamp set I got second hand.
Talking of spots... to my dear friend 'A-Knee' who is a faitful blog watcher, get rid of those spots so I can see you and G soon!!!
