The Makings of a Mackintosh

For the DCM mid week challenge "...to make a card inspired by a work of art" (read more about it on their blog, I'm not very good at explaining the technical part!) You are supposed to use the original, but I couldnt find anything to copy... so taking inspiration and help from some rubber stamps.

And so, in the style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, this is my card... I pain stackingly cut out the black outline using a craft knife on black card, and coloured it in with pens.

Fantastic Ester, I love the colours you've used. You've really made the Mackintosh style your own, and all that painstaking cutting... what amazing patience you have!

Oh Esther, this is adorable. I luv Rennie Mac.

I've finished your jigsaw piece and will upload a piccie to my blog later and send the finished piece off in the post after Easter. I found it quite challenging to do something so small and all in one colour, but I like the result. Thanks again for the stash you sent too.

I love CRM, and am very impressed with your interpretation! I can't believe you cut it all out with a craft knife - it must have taken absolutely ages! Such patience - I envy you!
