Keeping it simpler

I had to try hard to resist adding any more to this card, the aim was to be plain and simple.  So I stuck to the same ivory colour and embossing with heart and letter dies.  This was for a good friend of mine that recently got engaged.

Commissioned Cards

Here are some more Father's Day cards which people commissioned.  I love the challenge of having to work with a theme and sometimes think outside the box!

For a Cadburys chocolate fan.

Beach huts and seaside theme for this dad.

Daring (card makers) Dessert Challenge

Here is my take on the DCM colour challenge, I was trying to remember the colour from memory so got it slightly off. I enjoyed using these bright colours with the muted ones. Added a bit of bling to add some detail. Used sizzix flower and leaf die, Stampin up wood grain embossing folder and papers

Father's Day Fast Approaching

Had several commissions this year for Father's Day, each very unique and different requests!

This card was based on a card I saw on pinterest, with the idea of a tool box and tools.  This card is for my Father in law

This card was for a commission for a gentleman that had lost his dear wife, so the daughter wanted me to make something that would cheer him up.  Sticking to bright but masculine colours and using my new 'spring sampler' stamp set from Stampin up!

Share and share alike

OOh you know when you are desperate to share a photo but cant because someone will see it and it will spoil the surprise... Well done a few commissions recently and I know it will be safe to post on here.  So here is an A5 card I made for a friend who wanted a card that she could frame for her son's first birthday

Someones Special Sister

I wanted to make a card with my sister's style in mind.  SO using Stampin Up! Papers I sourced from her and paper roses which she taught me how to make I set about using muted colours to create my card. I was pleased with the results.

Up for the Challenge...

It's been a long while since I have done a challenge. So I used the sketch from 365cards to make an engagement card for some relatives. I used some fun and bright Anna Griffin paper as inspiration for the colour scheme. Stamped the background, and used a polka dot embossing folder.

Dainty Doilies

I have jumped on the Doily ban wagon in the crafting world and have loved using them! You know when you get great inspiration from one product... well... I was surprised how I could get very different results from using a doily for inspiration

It must be love, love, love...

I am going full steam ahead this year and I'm going to try and keep on top of main occasions. Normally I wouldn't have to worry to much, but as I am supplying to some shops this year I thought I would crack on with Valentine's Card. I have kept to an obvious heart theme, incorporating music sheet, lace, feathers, birds and swirls. Next occasion to work on.. Mother's Day!
