This weeks Salt Challenge is the topic of 'Lent' a tricky one to say the least! I knew what text I wanted to use, but then it was a matter of portraying it... When I thought of the subject of lent, I thought about the Sacrifice's or dicipline that people make, and more importantly the sacrifice that God made for us in sending his Son Jesus to die on the cross for us. Ruth (my sister) gave me the suggestion of making 'Moo' cards, which are 2.8 x 7cm an unusual size to work with, but helps with stretching the imagination! The verse reads: GREATER LOVE HAS NOONE THAN THIS, THAT HE LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS, JOHN 15:13
I used stamps, eyelets, prima, tiny shells, skeleton leaves, brads and gold thread
Also thought I would share with you the Valentine's Card I made for my DH, bit more abstract than I would usually attempt, but liked the way it turned out... I notice it ties in with Wednesday Stampers Valentine's theme.
