Chinese Cushion

As I mentioned in my comment on the DCM site, I was slightly daunted by their sketch but ended up really enjoying this card. I love these little brocade cushions I picked up at the craft fayre, and accented then with a charm - as per one of their demo cards! Thought the word peace summed up the card nicely... and was looking for a different sentiment to put.

My Hubbies birthday is not till May but decided to use the paper squares sketch for his card... I am loving the oppotunity to use my jumbo circle punch, and so glad that i bought it now!

It's the sea, you see

Oh man this was gonna be my first challenge for the inspire me thursday blog, but was a bit late... It was to use recylded materials, or re-used materials in some way on a card. I made these bottle top embellishements a while back (inspired by a magazine) and hadnt used them yet... I used an old borwn paper bag and an old magazine for the water background.

Free Flowers

While shopping in one of those cheap type shops today, and stocking up on white envelopes, I noticed that there were some artificial flowers, loose at the counter. I asked the assistane if these were for sale and she said that I could have them! They were obviously ones that had fallen off their bunches of flowers that were for sale. Well! You can imagine how chuffed with myself I was! I shall take them apart and use them on my cards!

Paint with Primary

Used the DCM mid week challenge to complete a alternative baby card commission.

Challenge:Well, what we'd like you to do this time is to confine your colour choices to the three primary colours; Red, Yellow & Blue. You can use just one, two or all three and we'll let you have a bit of white or black just to make it nice and easy.

Specifications: to include the baby's name 'Huw' (pronounced Hugh) have an element of baby but make it different.

I love retro, although there is a hint of it in this card, this was another commission I had from the same friend that needed the vintage one. Specifications: That it included the persons name and age, the rest was down to me!

Oooo the words "you've been tagged" never appeared before on my blog till now, thanks Sheila & Chris! Snap Chris I too now have been tagged twice in one day, thankfully quite a fun and hmmm fairly easy tagging session. what is tagging? Vintage Chic

commission card for a Jane Austin fan, who will be 25. Took me ages to come up with a design.... but ended up doing a collage effect.

Whoo hoo a chance to use my new stash, bit late... but managed to have a bash at the Di hickman sketch, (will use this as a commissioned card for my friend),

I then went on to make another card, which I wasnt so sure baout so not posting a pic! But then... I went on to use the scraps, and much happier with the results (this one will be used for friend who got engaged yesterday)
