Tagging Along

Tagging along with DCM 'Everything we buy has packaging, some of it excessive, some of it beautifully designed. Tags, labels, stickers... all sorts of bits and bobs that we can recycle onto cards.I dare you to make a card using a tag, label, sticker or anything else you can find, thats from packaging and would normally end up in the bin. Of course you can ink it, change it, distress it and add anything else you like!' and Di Hickmans sketch to create this card, it took a while to get to it's final destination, but I got there in the end, where I was happy with the result. I knew this tag would come in handy!...it was to pretty to chuck away, (oh and I also incorporated the ribbon that came on the tag)!

1st Time for Everything

Here are a couple of my latest commissions... Both cards were new subjects to me, I thought I was going to be stuck with the granparents one! But used some alphabet stamps I had to spell out the word.

This first card was for grandparents of a new baby girl. I added other colours, because I didnt want it to be too girly, and used the anna griffin paper to bring that older generation feel to it (no offense!)

This card was for the ladies friend who was leaving to go back to Ireland, hence the union jack and map of Ireland on the 'e'

What do you get if you cross a....

Zebra, a fairy and dragonflies?!..... THIS CARD! Thiese are a few of my friend's favourite things, so I tried to combine them into her birthday card, she did like it (thankfully!) I 'borrowed' some more images from google, as I had nothing with a zebra print, and wanted to find a nice fairy. I stuck on some large wings from another image to make the wings stand out. Punched some dragonfly shapes from the zebra print and bob's your Uncle! Oo just realised embossing on here to- I could contribute this to the DCM challenge as well!

Baby Boom

Dry embossed baby feet onto card, stamped with baby boy/girl, stamped background, QK lettering to add names.

In the last few weeks, I seem to be making a lot of baby cards! And more babies on the way! So I got stuck in with the DCM challenge of using embossing on the latest baby cards.
