After having a busy but relaxing time away, I am now back! Trying to catch up on all those post-holiday things like washing and cardmaking! WOW what a fantastic response to the competition, thanks to all who joined in, slowly getting round to leaving comments.. and the winner will be drawn soon. Here are a couple of latest commissions...

A card with the word 'shivers' for a male, my New Zealand friend says this word and it makes her boss laugh, because she is leaving to go back soon, she wanted this card made.

Pink Pregnancy

Recently brought the DCWV 5 Stack got a good price for it on readicut! The paper is quite versatile. Used the congratulations paper to stock up on pregnancy cards, and to incorporate it in with the DCM challenge "We'd like you to somehow incorporate text into your cards this week - not just one word.. but a portion of TEXT... like a poem, or newspaper print, Caligraphy, Even rip up an old text book and use some of the paper from it, there are masses of possibilities here, so let your imaginations run riot and let us see you texting to your heart's content!"

"Somewhere over the Rainbow..."

When I saw this Di Hickman sketch, I couldn't help but think- it lent itself to a rainbow! So here is my interpreation of the sketch...

I used ink pads to make the streaky background effect, then used my large cicle cutter to punch some offcuts, and wrote the wording in black.

Beside the seaside, beside the sea...

This is my latest commission for a friend who's parents live by the sea, their interests included; chocolate, bicyles, birds, (amongst a few other things), and my friend wanted the the words mum and dad included which I have done in the style of a wave using paper that had a picture of sand on (which you can't see clearly)

Pow! Wow! Bish, Bash Bosh!

Using the CPS sketch team it with DCM's midweek challenge of adding an element of cartoon, and I came up with this. The papers reminded me of comics, so I thought comic- cartoons! (I also stamped the number 5 but doesn't show clearly in the photo)

Roses are Red

Oh there it is again- Red! Really don't know why I keep ending up using red?... Just happen to be using up papers... Oh well. Ah I always seem to get delayed with the CPS sketches! Oh well this was using there old sketch. Kept feeling as if I needed to add more to this card... But at the same time didnt want to spoil the main picture of the roses. You may notice that things aren't stuck down yet, it is so I can sit in front of the telly and have a card sticking session!

I just can't get enough...

First it was the swirls, and now it's the birds! But also I can't seem to get away from the colour red in my recent cards...? This is another double challenge, using the skecth from Sketch this card and the challenge of:beads from DCM. Been waiting to use these gorgeous papers I got from a scrap swap I hosted, and beads that I had almost forgotten about, if it wasn't for my son who pulled them out the pther morning!- think they were a mothers day present, a kit of beads; at the time I really wandered how I would use them!...The main flower and bird is stuck on with 3d pads, to enhance the dimension.
