SALT without the pepper!

Here it is a new challenge site http://www.saltfaithchallenge.blogspot.com , I feel honoured and blessed to be involved! We are a team of like minded craft lovers but also brought together by the love of Jesus Christ. The idea is to express out faith through the gifts and talents he has given us. Once every two weeks we will produce work based on a challenge which we hope will inspire you to produce work of your own. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO JOIN IN ALL WELCOME!!!

The piece I made for the first topic of 'PRAISE' is a paper bag album, which has been split into the months of the year, so at the end of the year, I will go back and fill it in of how the Lord has blessed me and those around me.

Pink Pregnancy

Recently brought the DCWV 5 Stack got a good price for it on readicut! The paper is quite versatile. Used the congratulations paper to stock up on pregnancy cards, and to incorporate it in with the DCM challenge "We'd like you to somehow incorporate text into your cards this week - not just one word.. but a portion of TEXT... like a poem, or newspaper print, Caligraphy, Even rip up an old text book and use some of the paper from it, there are masses of possibilities here, so let your imaginations run riot and let us see you texting to your heart's content!"

"Somewhere over the Rainbow..."

When I saw this Di Hickman sketch, I couldn't help but think- it lent itself to a rainbow! So here is my interpreation of the sketch...

I used ink pads to make the streaky background effect, then used my large cicle cutter to punch some offcuts, and wrote the wording in black.
