Last sunday gone, I celebrated my 6th wedding anniversary, I was so shcked how quicklyit came round! So quick that I was a bit disorganised with making a card, but I managed to do it on time! 6 years is represented by Iron so I set about makingone from scratch! Using utee (ultra thick embossing enamel) I cut the shape of the iron from card and embossed it, the when embossing powderwas still hot i stuck a pen into it to make the holes.

Perpetual Prayer
I was very unprepared for this weeks SALT challenge 'Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.I Thessalonians 5:16-18 ', it really did creep up on me! I really wanted to do something that involved some sor or circle or spiral as a representation of contiuos (taken from the verse). I was tempted to cut a spiral from thepaper so it hung and spun, but with lack of time I didnt, instead I made a spinning disc with the verse, one side coloured in to represent when life is going well and the other side when life isnt going great... but in both those times we need to be praying continually!

The card was made using the 2sketches4you sketch, along with new butterfly stamp and new laura ashley papers (thanks ruth!). Also while buying in some bargains at the charity shop I sotted this lovely teddy in the window for only 50p- and yes it is Laura Ashley too! The card and teddy are going seperate ways, but thought they made a nice photo :)

I love these little stickers, I picked them up last year in the Accesorize sale! I thought they would be great for kids cards and the like, here I have used it for an alternative anniversary card. Love the fact that they look so sweet, noneed for any glitz or glam! The couple really loved it (thankfully!)

I am off for a week, at last! Holidaying for a week, neglected my blog lately, just havent found the time to keep it up to date, still making though! Great crafty tip: I have knocked toghether some cards, well laid them out anddrew a quick sketch to make up kits, so when I am away all I need to do is stick everything down, takes the hassle out of taking loads of craft stuff away with you, and you get to do what you love best when you are away!

Whatever...
Salt challenge is here again and this week it is Kim's turn 'Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again, rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me - put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4: 4-9' I've been thinking a lot about our last challenge and obeying God's word. I was discussing this passage with my Mom about how we are to think ... and have been endeavouring to walk and talk and think just like this passage tells me too. Look at the rewards for doing so! And so this week I challenge you to join us in making some art about this passage and also to think about what you are thinking about. Does it line up with whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy? I know my thoughts don't always. But, as I fill my heart with God's word, and look to Jesus my thoughts are turning more and more to this. Thanks, Kimberly
Not having done a card for SALT for a while, I thought I would return to my roots! I used a piece of left over paper that I had lieing on my table, and simply decorated with primas, ink and gold pen, accented with coloured diamantes and ribbon, the knot is a visual reminder to help is rememeber to do what the verse says!
